It may become necessary to reboot/restart your Amazon WorkSpace. This guide outlines all of the ways that you can restart your virtual desktop.
(Option 1) Windows Start Menu
- Click the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of your screen
- Click the "power" icon and click "Shut down"
- Wait about 2 minutes, then log back in
(Option 2) Amazon WorkSpaces Menu
This option will resolve any issues if your WorkSpace is unhealthy or unresponsive.
- Attempt to login to your WorkSpace
- If your WorkSpace doesn't start for any reason, follow the steps below.
- Click the Amazon WorkSpaces menu option.
- Select Restart WorkSpace...
- Wait a few minutes...
- You will be automatically logged in after the restart process has completed.
Error Message: You have been disconnected. Try reconnect. If you need help, contact your administrator.
- Amazon WorkSpaces menu > Restart WorkSpace...
- Select Restart
- Wait a few minutes while your WorkSpace is restarted...
- You will be automatically signed in after your WorkSpaces is finished restarting.
