This guide outlines the steps necessary to see a view only version of your Providence calendar alongside your Ayin calendar events. It's important that employees are aware of the following limitations before setting up this integration:
- There may be a delay in how quickly new and updated Providence calendar events sync to your Ayin calendar. This is normal, published calendars do not update in real-time.
- View only Providence calendar events do not impact your free/busy status within your Ayin account.
Open Outlook from the Providence My Apps Portal
- Click the Settings gear icon in the top right corner
- Select: Calendar > Shared calendars > Share a calendar
- Select a calendar and share it to your Ayin email address. Be sure to set permissions to "Can view all details"
- Check your ayin.com email for the calendar invitation.
- In the email invitation, locate the line that reads: "Having trouble viewing the calendar? Try adding an Internet calendar and providing this URL."
- Right click on this URL > Copy link address
Open Ayin Calendar
- Select Add calendar > Subscribe from web.
- Paste in the URL that you generated in Outlook and copied from your email in the previous step.
- Name the calendar, example: "Jim - Providence"
- Add to: My calendars
- Import
