This guide explains how to download your backup file from the Authenticator extension in Chrome, install the Edge version of the extension, and import your backup to Edge or Chrome.
Step 1: Export the Backup File from Chrome
Open Google Chrome.
Click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece) in the top-right corner.
Open Authenticator, then click the gear icon to access Settings.
Click Backup, then select Download Backup File.
A backup file called "authenticator" should download automatically to your Downloads folder.
We recommend that you make a copy of this file and store it in your employee Z drive for safe-keeping.
Step 2: Install the Authenticator Extension in Microsoft Edge or Chrome
Open Microsoft Edge.

Go to the Authenticator page in the Edge Add-ons store:

Click Get, then confirm by selecting Add extension.
Step 3: Import Your Backup File into Edge or Chrome
Click the Extensions icon in the top-right corner of Edge (or Chrome) and open Authenticator.
Click the gear icon to open Settings.
Click Backup, then select Import Backup.
Locate and select the backup file named "authenticator" you exported from Chrome.
Your tokens should now be restored.
