Employees should follow this guide to setup their new Amazon WorkSpace virtual desktop.
The first time you sign in to your new WorkSpace, Windows updates will run automatically. As a result, you may be prompted to sign in again two or three times. This is normal and will only happen during your initial setup.
New WorkSpace (required)
Ayin Account Setup Required
Immediately after your first sign-in, you’ll be prompted to connect your ayin.com account (firstname.lastname@ayin.com). Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. Alternatively, you can navigate to: Start Menu > Settings > Accounts > Access work or school and Connect.
Web Browser Setup
For the best experience, IT recommends using Microsoft Edge as your primary browser. Follow the optional Microsoft Edge Optimization Guide to streamline your browser experience.
You will be automatically signed in to Edge. If not, simply close and relaunch the browser.
Edge should open to the Okta home page (phtech.okta.com). If it doesn’t, click the Home icon (small house) in the top-left corner.
All Ayin applications and resources are available from the Okta home page.
Sign into OneDrive
- From the Windows task bar in the bottom right corner of your screen, click on the OneDrive icon and select Sign in.
- Sign in using your ayin.com email address (firstname.lastname@ayin.com).
- Be sure to enable back up on ALL folders.
- If you have migrated from an older system, this will restore all of your documents, desktop, pictures, etc.

Sign into the Microsoft 365 Desktop Apps
All Microsoft 365 apps, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel, can be accessed directly from the Okta homepage in Microsoft Edge. Employees also have the option to use the desktop versions of these apps if they prefer.
Microsoft Teams
- From the Windows Start Menu, search for Microsoft Teams, then Finish setup.
- If prompted, log in using your ayin.com email address: (firstname.lastname@ayin.com)
Outlook
- From the Windows Start Menu, search for Outlook.
- Outlook will first attempt to sign in using your active directory username: username@private.phtech.com and fail. Close Outlook, and re-launch Outlook.
- You can now log in using your ayin.com (Microsoft 365) account (firstname.lastname@ayin.com).
Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
- By default, you will be logged in with your computer username: username@private.phtech.com
- Switch this value to your ayin.com account.
Sign into Genesys Cloud (if applicable)
- From the Okta home page, click on the Genesys Cloud app.
Note: Our region is Americas (US East)
- If prompted for a username & password, select "More Login Options"
- For organization, enter: phtech
- Click on "Okta"
- If prompted, select "Collaborate/Communicate".
Genesys Cloud WebRTC Softphone Setup (if applicable)
- Users are required to select their phone the first time they login to Genesys Cloud.
