By default, each employee is granted access to three categories of teams:
- Ayin Health Solutions (Company): All staff
- (Division): All employees within your division
- (Department): All employees within your department
- (Team): All the teams you are a member of
FAQ
Can I create new teams in Microsoft Teams?
No, employees cannot create new teams. However, they can fully participate in the default teams they are already assigned to, as listed above. Managers can request the creation of a new team using a Request Form.
Can I add new members to my Teams?
Yes, you can add new members to your teams, except for official department, division, and company teams. Department, division, and company group membership is managed automatically and cannot be changed.
Can I create channels underneath existing teams?
Yes, employees can create standard channels within existing teams.
What's the difference between a "team" and a "chat group"?
Teams and chat groups serve similar purposes but differ in their intended use. IT recommends using Teams for official channels that all current and future team members need to access by default. For less official purposes, IT suggests using chat groups.
What data will be migrated from Slack to Teams?
Both Private and Public Slack channels and their chat history will be migrated to Teams. Direct Messages (DMs) between users will not be migrated. Messages from non-user sources like Zapier, Google Drive, StatusPage Alerts, and Pager Dusty will not be migrated.
