This guide is designed to walk you through the process of moving from your old WorkSpace to your new WorkSpace.
IT has created a new Amazon WorkSpace for you. Please update your Amazon WorkSpaces registration code and begin using your new system. Your current WorkSpace will be deleted after a designated period of time, and you will no longer have access to it.
Follow the steps below to update your registration code and sign in to your new WorkSpace. If you need any assistance, please contact the Service Desk.
- Open the Amazon WorkSpaces application
- Select Change Registration Code
- Enter the new registration code and select Continue
- New Registration Code: WSpdx+MQD8HC
The first time you sign in to your new WorkSpace, Windows updates will run automatically. As a result, you may be prompted to sign in again two or three times. This is normal and will only happen during your initial setup.

Desktop & Documents Migration
Please note that all your Desktop & Documents will be migrated to your new WorkSpace as part of this process.
Z Drive File Migration
Please note that all files currently stored in your Z drive will be migrated to your Microsoft OneDrive as part of this process.
Bookmarks
Your bookmarks should automatically restore when you sign in to Microsoft Edge. However, you can also restore them manually at any time using the backup file created by IT.
Transition Pro Tip
Did you know you can be logged into both your old and new WorkSpaces at the same time? Just launch a second instance of the WorkSpaces app and sign in using the alternate registration code.
File Explorer error on old WorkSpace
If you encounter the following error when attempting to open File Explorer on your old WorkSpace, please reboot the device at your earliest convenience. This will automatically resolve the issue.
